This new workshop production was written for postgraduate students in Musical Theatre at the GSA Conservatoire. The show premiered at the Bellairs Playhouse in Guildford on 6th April 2006.

The musical details the life and times of the renowned Italian astronomer Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) and chronicles his scientific discoveries. From the moment he peered through the newly-invented telescope, the Earth was unceremoniously dethroned from its proud position at the centre of the Universe, bringing Galileo into conflict with the Vatican authorities. From that time on, his life (and that of his family) was thrown into turmoil and beset with danger. Would his new theories about the cosmos bring him into the hands of the dreaded Holy Inquisition, or would the light of Science be allowed to shine through into the future?

Based loosely on Berthold Brecht's 1930's play Das Leben des Galilei this is a unique musical which pioneers into the world of science.
