After the enormous success of last year's West Side Story, GSA 2011 graduates present the world-famous folk-tale of Anatevka, the Jewish schtetl in pre-Revolutionary Russia, where the local milkman, Tevye, tries to make sense of tradition and his personal relationship with God. This is my thirteenth GSA Grad Show at the Yvonne Arnaud. Curiously enough, I have never conducted this piece before...it has been on my wish-list ever since I met the lyricist Sheldon Harnick back in 1979!
